Hello, we are team Fight for Life and we are visionaries; we have a vision for a world without cancer, but we need your help.

This year, we are proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Before we ask for your participation in this campaign, we feel it is necessary to share our motivations for joining LLS. Many of us have witnessed the effects of cancer firsthand on not just the patient, but the patient’s family and friends. Seeing the lasting and widespread damage it can cause has impassioned us to join LLS in the fight against blood cancer and to support its efforts that advance treatments for other types of cancer as well. As high schoolers, there are few opportunities to make an impact that can literally save lives, as we can through LLS. We all have individual strengths—whether it's creativity, leadership, organization, communication, or problem-solving—which we are able to unite under one cause.
